According to EW.com, Laura has joined the Showtime series “The C Word” not just as the star but as an executive producer of the show as well.

The series follows a woman struggling with cancer while balancing a husband and family in the suburbs. The name is still considered a working title; a pilot has been ordered and will be shot this fall.
