I’m happy to inform you that Laura and Marc are indeed married.
They tied the knot on May 2nd in Connecticut and, according to this article, Tom Hanks was amongst the wedding guests.
Laura and Marc Schauer, a real estate agent from Telluride, met in 2004 during the Telluride Filmfestival where he was her personal host for the week. Watch this interview where she talks about her engagement back in 2007.

Concerning Laura’s upcoming projects, there’s news on The Details which was put on hold last month: Shooting is to recommence in August, but due to a scheduling conflict James McAvoy has dropped out and was replaced by Tobey Maguire. Sad news for McAvoy fans such as myself, I would’ve loved to see them both play together.

I have some great news for you today. We have another dedicated Laura fan join the team here at LLF: Amanda, whom you might know from her fantastic site on Carey Mulligan. Give her a warm welcome, I’m sure she’ll do a great job!

On a different note, even though I don’t consider this to be a gossipy site, I wanted to post what a fan reported the other day. Thanks Bob!

I happened to be next to her and her boyfriend/husband (?) today applying for a fishing license at a Wal-Mart in Lake Geneva, WI. Wanted to get her autograph, but didn’t think it would be appropriate to interfere with her vacation.

I completey forgot to post here that I also revamped the stage section of the gallery a while back.
There is a new photo from the 1989 production of Heartbreak House at Juilliard School, some more photos of the opening night of The Crucible in 2002, photos from last year’s production of Les Liaisons Dangereuses as well as its opening night.

I had a moment to spare last night and made some avatars for the site. I’m not a very good icon-maker but some of the photos just called out to be made into an avatar. Enjoy!

I finally got my hands on a copy of the John Adams DVD and had a look through the DVD specials. Sadly, they concentrate more on the author than the actors and the rest of the production, but there are a few short interview sequences with Laura – view the screencaps below.

Some of the specials material was already used in the HBO preview clips released last year, view them in our video archive.
I’ll also try and replace the TV screencaptures of all episodes with DVD captures soon.

Fantastic news for all NYC-based fans: Laura will make her return to Broadway in the Manhattan Theatre Club production of Time Stands Still next January. Tony winner Daniel Sullivan will be directing the play by Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Donald Margulies, and it will be the third Margulies play for Laura after Beggars In The House Of Plenty and Sight Unseen.

Are we supposed to deny ourselves ordinary happiness because there’s misery in the world? This is one of many questions Donald Margulies poses in his intelligent and timely new play. James and Sarah (Linney), a journalist and a photographer, have been together for nine years and share a passion for documenting the realities of war. But when injuries force them to return home to New York, the adventurous couple confronts the prospect of a more conventional life. Time Stands Still is a blazingly important new work about responsibility — to ourselves, to our loved ones, to our community, and to our world.

The remaining cast is yet to be announced, Broadway performances will begin Jan. 5, 2010.
